Congratulations to the SJO Scholastic Bowl team for their second place finish at the Masonic Academic Bowl Sectional in Paris!  The Spartans are at home this Thursday in their final regular season matches starting at 4:30 pm.

 

Congratulations to the varsity girls basketball team! They play Manteno in the sectional semifinal game at Pontiac High School tomorrow at 7:30 pm. Good luck Spartans!   

 

Seniors!  New scholarships available.  All applications are available on the table in the guidance office:

·         St. Joseph Women's Club Scholarship.  The deadline is March 12th.

·         Trooper Thompsen Memorial Scholarship

·         Champaign County Extension Scholarship

 

Seniors – if you are attending Parkland in the fall, the scholarship application is now available.  Link is in your guidance classroom email and also in the guidance office.  The deadline is April 12th.

 

Students interested in joining the group traveling to Italy this summer, the final deadline for sign-up is this Friday. After that date, the group is closed.  See Mr. Kieffer with any questions.

 

Spartan fans!  SJO is hosting the IHSA 2A boys basketball regional on both Wed, 2/25 and Fri, 2/27. Per IHSA guidelines, ticket prices are $8 cash for everyone at the door, or $6 for an online GoFan ticket. Click here for tickets to

Zach Harper will be signing his National Letter of Intent to play Soccer at Ozark Christian College today at 3:05 pm in the commons.

 

Congratulations to Maddie Wells for advancing to the state wrestling meet on Friday, February 27th at approximately 9:00 am in Bloomington at the Grossinger Motor Arena.  You will be able to attend this event if you follow these guidelines:

1.     You must return the parent signed permission slip by 8:10 am on Thursday, February 26th.  No forgeries will be accepted.

2.     You must bring in your ticket stub or proof of a mobile ticket to the office on Monday.

3.     You must meet all the requirements in the handbook under Field Trips/Events (page 35).

We will not be providing transportation to this event.  If you meet all the requirements, you do not need to report to school in the morning on Friday due to the timing of the first match.  Good luck to Maddie!
