Students – will you allow us to place you on the ballot for homecoming court? Every student has been sent a link to a Google form through their student email. Those willing to appear as candidates for court must also name who they wish to appear on the ballot alongside. Nominations close Thursday at 3 pm.
If you are planning to bring a non-SJO date to Homecoming, you will need to get a permission form in the office. These forms are due back in the office by September 15th.
Students: a reminder that in order to attend the homecoming dance you have to be passing 7 of your 8 classes. Eligibility will be run this Friday for next week's eligibility. If you are academically ineligible you will not be able to attend the dance next week.

September is national suicide prevention month. Did you know that feeling connected to others at school can help protect students' mental health? Even small acts of kindness and connection can make a difference. Today, keep your eyes open because small ducks with suicide prevention ribbons are hidden throughout the hallways! If you find a duck, bring it to Profe Lindsey to receive a prize! Only one duck per person, please! Also, don't forget to wear teal and/or purple tomorrow to show your support for suicide prevention!
InterState Studios will be here today and Thursday to take team and individual pictures for fall sports. All pictures can be ordered online at https://inter-state.com/FlyerEntry using order code: 0497KB. We will use the following schedule on Wednesday: Soccer 3:10, Golf 3:30, Cheer 4:00. We will use the following schedule on Thursday: 3:10 Cross Country, 3:20 Football, 4:00 Volleyball. Tennis and Golf will not be taking team and individual pictures this week due to rescheduled meets. We are working on getting a new date for pictures.
Parkland College is hosting their annual college fair on Monday, Sept 14th from 6-8 pm in the parkland gymnasium. This is a great opportunity to meet with over 65 college/university representatives. See poster around the building for QR code.
