Daily Announcements for April 15, 2026
There will be an FFA Chapter meeting tonight in the Ag Rooms at 6:30 pm. The Alumni will be meeting at 7 pm.
A representative from EIU will be here today during Spartan Time. If you are attending EIU in the fall or are interested in meeting with them, please sign up outside the Guidance Office or in the Google classroom.
Timera Blackburn-Kelley and Emma McKinney will sign their National Letters of Intent to play Softball today after school in the commons. Timera will be attending Parkland College and Emma will be attending Danville Area Community College.
There is an FCA Full Huddle on Friday. We will be welcoming Illini Basketball players Ben and Adalia Humrichous as guest speakers! Please meet in the auditorium at 7:30 am. Breakfast will be served after the huddle in Room 111. Everyone is always welcome and encouraged to join us!
Last call to order a Maroon Platoon t-shirt. Cost is $10 and you can order and pay for the shirt in the office. Orders will be closed at the end of the day today.
There will be an informational Bass Fishing meeting on Thursday, April 16th at 4:30 PM in the commons. If you’re interested in participating in Bass Fishing this spring, we hope to see you at the meeting.
Attention Juniors and Seniors: Post Prom registration forms were handed out in your Spartan Time. Check with your Spartan Time teacher if you didn't get a form or there are extras in the office. Every person that is going to Post Prom needs a permission form. These are due by Friday, April 17th. If you are taking someone to Prom that does not attend SJO, you will need a permission form for them. Those forms are in the office and are due by April 28th.
Seniors: Please complete this Google Form by 3:00 pm on Friday, April 17. Your responses will be used to create a booklet that is passed out at graduation. The Google form was also sent to your school email on 4/14.
Seniors: please email a baby/younger picture and current picture to Mrs. Harbaugh (harbaughv@sjo.k12.il.us) by Monday, April 20. These pictures will be used in the senior slideshow for graduation, as well as the graduation booklet.
The 20-year anniversary recognition ceremony for the 2006 SJO State Championship Softball team is at 1 pm on Sat, 4/25 before the SJO/Beecher game. We hope to see everyone here on April 25!
