Daily Announcements for April 14, 2026
There will be an FFA Chapter meeting this Wednesday in the Ag Rooms at 6:30 pm. The Alumni will be meeting at 7 pm.
A representative from EIU will be here on Wednesday, April 15th during Spartan Time. If you are attending EIU in the fall or are interested in meeting with them, please sign up outside the Guidance Office or in the Google classroom.
Don't forget to order your yearbook! Check the list to see if you have already ordered.
Timera Blackburn-Kelley and Emma McKinney will sign their National Letters of Intent to play Softball on Wed, April 15th after school in the commons. Timera will be attending Parkland College and Emma will be attending Danville Area Community College.
All current and new NHS members: if you are interested in officer positions, please come to Mrs. Beckett's room 211 to get an application. All applications are due back by Friday, April 24th. NHS members will vote on May 1st on Google Classroom. Open positions are President, Vice President, Treasurer, Historian, and Secretary.
Last call to order a Maroon Platoon t-shirt. Cost is $10 and you can order and pay for the shirt in the office. Orders will be closed on Wednesday.
Attention Juniors and Seniors: Post Prom registration forms were handed out in your Spartan Time. Check with your Spartan Time teacher if you didn't get a form or there are extras in the office. Every person that is going to Post Prom needs a permission form. These are due by Friday, April 17th. If you are taking someone to Prom that does not attend SJO, you will need a permission form for them. Those forms are in the office and are due by April 28th.
Congratulations to the following SJO students who were hired by the St Joseph 169 Board of Education as temporary, full-time summer help; Zhou Barbie, Landon May, Aubrey Matheny, Evan Potter, Brock Franzen, and Waylon Jones. Mr. Landeck will meet with you in the next few weeks to discuss the next steps before work starts.
There will be a Fine Arts Boosters meeting tonight in the library at 6:30 pm.
The 20-year anniversary recognition ceremony for the 2006 SJO State Championship Softball team is at 1 pm on Sat, 4/25 before the SJO/Beecher game. We hope to see everyone here on April 25!
