Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Student Council invites ALL our students to take a moment to thank a teacher that makes a difference! Compliments don't cost a thing - let them know you appreciate them! Today's teacher trivia: "Which of our teachers said the highlight of their summer last year was seeing King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard play with the Chicago Philharmonic? Stay tuned tomorrow to find out!
We will have our last FCA huddle of the school year this Friday at 7:30 am in the library. Seniors: please fill out the Google Form by Thursday at 3 pm to be recognized at the huddle! All are welcome and breakfast will be served.
If you enjoy good vibes, fun music, and some friendly competition then SJO Drama has the perfect event for you! This Saturday, May 9th at 7 pm is SJO Drama's Spring Fundraiser Showcase. Groups will have 24 hours to create their own mini musical performances and all of their hard work will be performed live at the event. There may or may not be some additional surprises in store, so this is one you don't want to miss!
The library will be closed the rest of the week due to AP testing.
Spanish Club: there will be a Salsa contest on Wednesday, May 6th in the Foods Room from 6 – 8 pm. The winning salsa will get a prize! See Profe Lindsey with any questions.
InterState studios will take softball pictures after school on Wednesday, May 6. Pictures can be ordered online through InterState using order code: 0457BHA.
Students, did you know Mother's Day is coming up this Sunday, May 10? Do you have something for the mothers in your life? Not yet? The SJO Greenhouse has you covered! This week during Spartan Time, come to the greenhouse to make your mom a custom designed planter! For $10, you can choose 3-5 plants and make the moms in your life a beautiful planter they will love all summer! Check in with your Spartan Time teacher before coming to the greenhouse.
Extra Maroon Platoon t-shirts are available to purchase for $10 in the office.
The last FFA Chapter meeting will be tonight at 6:30 pm in the ag rooms. FFA Alumni will meet immediately following the Chapter meeting, around 7 pm.
The St. Joseph Township-Swearingen Memorial Library is hosting summer reading programs for all ages. See the attached flyer for dates and more information.
