Happy Earth Day Week! Did you know that recycling one aluminum soda can saves enough energy to power a TV for three hours? Let’s work together to save energy and make sure to recycle our cans into the white buckets around school! These get emptied by the environmental club and delivered to a recycling center! Tomorrow’s dress up day is to wear Hawaiian/Nature print.
The following seniors need to complete the Google Form - senior questionnaire ASAP! Bella Brooks, Chris Coffey, Cooper Kietzman, Michael McDaniel, and Chevy Williams.
SJO HS Maintenance department is looking to hire a couple students for summer help. Interested students can sign up in the office by Friday, April 24th and let them know you are interested in applying. Mr. Baker will get ahold of each applicant and explain the next steps in the process.
InterState Studios will take boys and girls track pictures on Thursday 4/23 after school. Pictures can be ordered online using order code 0457BMA.
Students – we need your vote! Freshmen through juniors, this morning an email with a link to a ballot was sent to every student. On that ballot are the names of your classmates who are seeking your vote for our school's student council for the coming school year. We ask that you send us the best people with the best ideas, AND who will work to make these things a reality! The ballot closes at 3 pm today. Results will be shared by the end of the day Wednesday.
CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Haley! The baseball team defeated PBL on the road last night. This was Coach Haley’s 400th career win with SJO. Congrats to Coach Pruemer as well. Coach Pruemer has been Coach Haley’s assistant coach for all these career wins!
Senior nights for spring sports have been announced! Baseball is on April 28, Boys Track is May 1, Softball is May 7, Girls Track is April 8.
Congratulations to the Art Students featured in last night's IPC Art Show! Tao Smith received: Best in Show, 1st and 3rd in painting, 1st in color drawing, 2nd in Ink, and both the Teacher's and Principal's award. Madi Kelley received: 1st in Scratchboard, 3rd in ink and 2nd in color drawing. Landon Roberts received 3rd in Scratchboard.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE clear up all negative lunch balances and unpaid registration fees ASAP! Seniors, all fees and lunch balances must be cleared up before graduation. The outstanding fees and negative lunch balances will carry over to next year for everyone else. Please check your account or check with the office to see if you owe money.
