On Thursday, December 10 there will be a Gift of Hope flag raising ceremony in honor of Nadirah Edwards on the SJ-O football field. The ceremony will start at 4:00 PM and all are welcomed to attend. An opportunity to say a few words in honor of Nadirah will be available to anyone wanting to speak. Attendees should wear a mask and practice social distancing. The Edwards family would also like her friends and classmates to sign the Gift of Hope Flag in her honor. Her flag will be located outside of the main office and will be available until the ceremony for anyone wanting to sign.
Picture Retakes will be taken on Thursday, November 19 for Colombia Blue students and Friday, November 20 for maroon students. If you are getting your picture taken for the first time, you may pre-order at https://inter-state.com/FlyerEntry with the code: 54923C. If you would like to retake your photo from October, please bring in your picture package and it will be exchanged for the retake photo. SJ-O community, You may see us out in the community during parts of the next two days, as the high school will be performing a few of our state mandated safety drills.
We are excited to bring a little more normalcy to our lunch periods for students. Starting on Tue. 9/8, local eateries will be rotating additional lunch options for SJO students under the football field bleachers. Interested students should bring cash to purchase items.
Bus students: If you ride one of the grade school buses home from school in the afternoon ( bus 10, 12, 17, or 19) the bus will pick you up from the high school at 2:20 instead of 3:00, starting today. Please let the office know if you have any questions.

We are very excited to have students back into classrooms on August 17. We’d like to share a couple of procedural items with you to ensure we are able to follow our safety guidelines due to COVID 19. Students will not be allowed entrance into the building before 7:45 AM. In order to expedite the student check in / screening process we are asking students to enter the building at designated locations assigned by class.
